Michigan is teeming with thick evergreen and deciduous forests. Water surrounds you everywhere you go, whether it be a pond, river, lake, or even dew drops. The flat land and frequent rains make it ideal for agriculture, while allowing it to sustain industry.
The climate in Michigan is like that of any temperate zone country. Five months of warmth and seven months of heavy snows and piercing winds. Add abundant freshwater into the scene... and you have Michigan.

Out of these, Detroit is the largest and most famous city in Michigan. Right by it is Dearborn, where the famous inventor and businessman, Henry Ford, was born. The capital city is Lansing. And Ann Arbor is where the University of Michigan is located.
Michigan has a population of almost 10 million people as of 2019. (This presentation was made in 2021.) The racial makeup in Michigan is as the pie chart on the left shows. In 2010, 78.9% people were white, 14.2% were black, and the rest of the population consisted of Asian people, Indigenous people, or people of more than one race, with Asian being the largest of the three I just mentioned.
There's many things to see in Michigan. From the memorable Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear sand dunes to Mackinac Island and its iconic bridge to the beautiful Belle Isle Park in the Detroit River. These, along with more, represent the diversity of fun and culture in Michigan.
Michigan has several industries, especially the automobile industry. (No wonder it's a part of the Industrial Midwest.) Here are the major ones:
Two great colleges call Michigan home: the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. The University of Michigan is located in Ann Arbor, and MSU is in Lansing. UMich has a ranking of #23 in national ranking, whereas MSU has a ranking of about #50 - #83. These rankings can vary, though.
